Projekt

Our goal

The aim is to open up the digital world together. In collaboration with the cooperation partners, interested young people and older persons are qualified as technology ambassadors. With these trained technology ambassadors, innovative and differentiated low-threshold, local advisory and educational services are offered for the 60+ age group to increase their digital skills.

Implementation

In the "Together into the digital world 2" project, technology ambassadors are trained in rural and urban areas in Saxony at the locations of the twelve cooperation partners. The project is aimed at young people and older people, preferably already retired, who are engaged in voluntary work and would like to support others in opening up the digital world. In addition to methodological and didactic content, the training also includes the ability to design offerings that are appropriate for the target group and the acquisition of digital skills. The size of this qualification is 30 teaching units. The implementation and scheduling of the courses is coordinated with the partners and the participants. The training is completed with a certificate.

The technology ambassadors can then become active in their home environment and help people aged 60 and older gain access to the digital world. The aim of the program is to reduce people's fear of contact with the digital world, to clarify basic questions about how to use the devices, and to impart practical everyday knowledge about smartphones and tablet PCs.

Consultation hours, on-site educational offerings, digital cafés, regulars' tables and workshops on the production of learning media (videos, podcasts, etc.) are planned. The basis for these consulting and educational offerings close to home is a modular curriculum created in advance with different training content. Supporting learning materials are also provided.
